Back

I have been following the Javascript stuff for a while now and it turns out there are 2 standards.  Surprisingly (or Unsurprisingly), Micro$oft has taken over in the scripting department as well.  Whenever MS wants something, they just take over or destroy what's already in place.  It turns out Jscript is the M$ standard, while the rest of the planet is still working with JavaScript.  Funny thing is, the original language had nothing to do with either standard.  It was only supposed to be an enhancement to the browser standard.  The computer world isn't controlled by a few big names, it's actually what you want it to be.  An argument for Open Source.

A return to the blogs

Well, I found something that does what I want it to do now, but in Netscape it doesn't do what it's supposed to do yet.

Image:  Shows problems in Netscape

As you can see, the graphics, Iframe, and overflow is still skewed in the page.  What I did here was to draw a black box around the way Netscape looks at my code.  Hmmm.  It really doesn't show much for American business models and such if competition allows for these kind of mistakes.  Micro$oft kind of took over everyone's lives and it's by no means a mystery to most of us what is going on.

If you don't give the other guy a chance, you get a lot of useless crap and people who do not much more than hold their hands out.
